Fall 2026 Nail Colors: The 6 Shades Everyone Is Booking (and the Vegan Version of Each)

Every fall the color forecast lands, and every fall it's some version of "dark, moody, expensive." This year is no different, except that two of the six shades below are ones most people haven't worn on their nails before. 1. Chocolate brown is the new black

If you only buy one polish this season, make it brown. Not a warm caramel, not a taupe: a real cacao brown, deep enough to read as a neutral and rich enough to feel intentional. 5. Milky lavender, moved to fall

Lavender was a spring color. Not anymore. This season it's back as a muted, milky, cooler lilac that works as a soft neutral for fall. Think less sugary pastel, more the color of a lavender latte. It's the unexpected pick on this list and the one that will get you asked "what shade is that?"

6. The milky nude, still standing
